Exclusive 10-Inch Vinyl of Sam Ryder Performing ‘Gethsemane’ and ‘What’s The Buzz?’ Available for Pre-Order

Announced today! A 10-inch vinyl featuring Sam Ryder singing ‘Gethsemane’ and ‘What’s The Buzz?’ is available for pre-order. Both tracks were recorded live to tape at British Grove Studios and will be pressed on stunning off-white vinyl.

This exclusive 10-inch vinyl single presents two brand new recordings from Jesus Christ Superstar, performed by Sam Ryder in the iconic role of Jesus. Recorded direct to analogue tape at British Grove Studios, these tracks were captured ahead of Sam’s starring role in the new production at The London Palladium, bringing a raw, fresh energy to this legendary score.

On Side A is the emotionally charged ‘Gethsemane’, featuring Sam’s powerhouse vocals, while Side B showcases ‘What’s The Buzz’, reimagined with an extended jam session that showcases the phenomenal studio band. Recorded on tape as a deliberate nod to the original 1970 album which launched the global phenomenon that is Jesus Christ Superstar.

With lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, this recording is pressed on striking 10-inch white vinyl.

Jesus Christ Superstar will be play at the iconic London Palladium from Saturday 20 June to Saturday 5 September 2026, with a press night scheduled for Tuesday 7 July 2026. Following phenomenal demand, the production has extended to Theatre Royal Drury Lane from Friday 16 October 2026 to Saturday 9 January 2027. Book your tickets here.
