Andrew Lloyd Webber visited the BRIT School to enjoy a student concert-production of The Phantom of the Opera, marking a decade since his first visit to the renowned performing arts institution.

"It has to be 10 years ago that I came to see this extraordinary school," Lloyd Webber reflected after the performance. "It isn't just about the performing, or about just any one aspect of anything to do with music in general, but about every single discipline that's involved with it."

The composer was particularly struck by the technical excellence of the production, especially with multiple casts and numerous performers. "I think that the sound was absolutely extraordinary so bravo," he noted, acknowledging the behind-the-scenes talent that brought the production to life.

His admiration extended far beyond the stage. Stage costumes, inspired by the original production and designed by students were displayed throughout the school. "These are going to be the designers and the people who are going to be keeping our theatre together in the future."

Principal Stuart Worden spoke movingly about Lloyd Webber's impact on the school. "This is a very special school, and Andrew is a very special man," Worden said. "Andrew has supported the school every year, making it possible for shows like today to happen, for events to happen, for young people to go on and have careers in the performing arts and in this technical world that they never thought was possible. But thanks, a little bit to this school and a lot to this man."

Lloyd Webber's confidence in the students' futures is unequivocal. He expressed certainty that many of the young performers on stage will soon grace theatres across London and around the world. "Such is the extraordinary talent at the BRIT School".

What makes the BRIT School unique, in Lloyd Webber's view, is its comprehensive approach. BRIT School continues to nurture the complete ecosystem that will sustain theatre for generations to come. And with his continued support, that future looks brighter than ever.
