Originally released in 1987, The Original London Cast Album remains the definitive recording of this timeless musical with Michael Crawford’s Tony Award-winning performance as The Phantom and Sarah Brightman’s portrayal of Christine Daaé. It has amassed sales of 40 million copies worldwide to date.

Since its premiere, The Phantom of the Opera has been seen by more than 160 million people in 205 cities and has received over 70 major theatre awards. It was the first British musical to debut at number one on the music charts and the recording has been certified Platinum in six countries.
