Today, we remember the incomparable composer, lyricist and record producer Jim Steinman, who crafted the marvellous lyrics for Andrew’s Whistle Down The Wind, and sadly passed away a year ago today.
Jim’s incredible contribution to both music and theatre included Meat Loaf’s Bat Out Of Hell album (plus the musical show of the same name), alongside smash hits for artists such as Celine Dion, Bonnie Tyler, Barry Manilow and Air Supply.
To hear Jim and Andrew speak about the process of constructing Whistle, take a look at this video from the vault:
Celebrate the great work of Jim at a brand new production of Whistle Down The Wind, playing at Newbury’s Watermill Theatre from Fri 22 July - Sat 10 Sep 2022.
