Grizabella The Glamour Cat

Grizabella is a survivor, but she is vulnerable. She was once the most glamorous of the Jellicle Tribe but as she aged her beauty faded and thus, she returns in disgrace, only to be rejected by the other cats. Isolated and ridiculed throughout the show, she gradually reveals the depth of her sorrow and the strength of her spirit.

Her plea for acceptance, delivered through the musical's most powerful number, Memory, ultimately earns her redemption and the opportunity to ascend to the Heaviside Layer.
