Sunset Boulevard x Tiny Desk

Jamie Lloyd's revival of SUNSET BLVD. was the perfect match for the scale of Tiny Desk, distilling the essence of the music and showcasing the tragedy of the characters and the grandeur of Andrew Lloyd Webber's music and lyrics by Don Black and Christopher Hampton.

Tony Award-nominated Nicole Scherzinger and Tom Francis each making their Broadway debuts as Norma Desmond, faded star of the silent screen, and failing screenwriter Joe Gillis, wow us with an exclusive "close-up" performance, of tale of tarnished Hollywood, supported by a eight-member orchestra, led by music director Alan Williams.

Nicole and Tom perform a re-imagined duet of "The Perfect Year" as never seen before, whilst "Sunset Boulevard" is performed without the usual stroll through New York City streets that audiences have come to relish. Nicole commands the stage in "With One Look" and in a blistering rendition of "As If We Never Said Goodbye, making this a vintage Tiny Desk performance that has to be seen!
