Sunset Blvd. receives seven Tony Award Nominations

The nominations for the 2025 Tony Awards were announced on Thursday 1st May, by Sarah Paulson and Wendell Pierce, and saw Sunset Blvd. become the most nominated revival of the season.

The “scorching, brilliant revival,” of Sunset Blvd. hailed by the New York Post as “Broadway’s most exhilarating show in years.” received seven Tony nominations this week, including:

Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical: Nicole Scherzinger‍

Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical: Tom Francis

Best Direction of a Musical: Jamie Lloyd

Best Lighting Design of a Musical: Jack Knowles

Best Sound Design of a Musical: Adam Fisher

Best Orchestrations of a Musical: Andrew Lloyd Webber & David Cullen

Best revival of a Musical: Sunset Blvd.

Cynthia Erivo will host the 78th Annual Tony Awards from the legendary Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday, June 8, 2025.
