Having just finished a successful season in Melbourne, School of Rock The Musical is coming to the Shanghai Grand Theatre on February 22, where it will start a 16-week China tour. As part of the shows China takeover, School of Rock music will also be featuring as the exclusive final challenge on national Chinese talent show "iActor" which will see the finalists perform excerpts of the musical in an effort to win the "iActor" "triple-threat" crown. Air date still to be confirmed.
The tour doesn't stop there! In May 2019, the show will continue to South Korea, opening in Seoul which will kick-start a total 12-week run in Seoul and Busan. Simultaneously, School of Rock The Musical will also open in Brisbane and then continue on to Sydney. Due to global demand the show will be running two concurrent English language productions in Asia.
Stay tuned for more exciting news over the coming weeks, including more Asia Pacific city announcements and European production news.
