The iconic Original London Cast Recording of The Phantom of the Opera is being released as a Limited Edition white double LP alongside a double CD.

A limited-edition red vinyl has also been released in North America to celebrate the Phantom of the Opera North American tour, which opened in Baltimore in November 2025.

The Original London Cast Album from 1986 remains the definitive recording of this timeless musical with Michael Crawford’s Tony Award-winning performance as The Phantom and Sarah Brightman’s portrayal of Christine Daaé that made this the best-selling cast recording in history. Now re-issued on Limited Edition Vinyl, this classic album brings the unforgettable score to a new generation of listeners.  

The excitement surrounding the vinyl release has been remarkable. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s music catalogue saw its biggest single-day streaming numbers ever on 31 October 2025: a testament to the musical’s lasting impact and its passionate global fanbase.

Since its premiere, The Phantom of the Opera has been seen by more than 160 million people in 205 cities and has received over 70 major theatre awards. It was the first British musical to debut at number one on the music charts. The recording has been certified Platinum in six countries.
