Additional casting has been announced for Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hollywood Bowl, from August 1 to 3, 2025. Joining Cynthia Erivo as Jesus and Adam Lambert as Judas are Josh Gad (Olaf in Frozen, Elder Cunningham in The Book of Mormon Tony nomination) as King Herod and Phillipa Soo (Eliza Hamilton in Hamilton Tony and Emmy nomination, ABC/Hulu Doctor Odyssey) as Mary Magdalene.
The star-studded cast also includes Milo Manheim (Disney Channel Zombies; Seymour in off-Broadway Little Shop of Horrors) as Peter; and Raúl Esparza (Bobby in Company Tony nomination; Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) as Pontius Pilate.
With lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, this iconic rock opera will be directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Sergio Trujillo and conducted and musically directed by Tony and Grammy winner Stephen Oremus.
