SMG Live today announced the star cast for the Chinese language production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black's TELL ME ON A SUNDAY. Four Chinese stars have been cast to alternate playing the role of the lead young woman. Throughout the season the role will be played by; TAN WEIWEI; LOU YIXIAO; LI-TONG HSU; AND LI WEILING. Continuing the landmark Chinese musical theatre collaboration the costumes will be designed by internationally celebrated Chinese Designer CHRISTOPHER BU.UK based Director PAUL WARWICK GRIFFIN and Musical Supervisor FIZ SHAPUR are working with Chinese Director MA YUE and Chinese Music Director ZHAO JIJUN.
This exciting new adaptation reflects the modern Chinese woman as she moves from regional China to Shanghai (the original show told the story of a girl moving from London to New York).
TELL ME ON A SUNDAY OPENS IN SHANGHAI AT THE MAJESTIC THEATRE ON JUNE 8.
