The international production of the musical CATS is set to return to Portugal at the start of 2026. One of the most famous musical of all time will be staged in Lisbon, at the Sagres Campo Pequeno, from 6 to 11 January, and in Porto, at the Super Bock Arena, from 14 to 18 January.
"CATS” is a timeless musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, adapted from T.S. Eliot’s book Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, blending music, dance, and poetry in perfect harmony. In the Portuguese performances, the musical will feature Portuguese subtitles.
On just one special night of the year, all Jellicle cats meet at the Jellicle Ball where Old Deuteronomy, their wise and benevolent leader, makes the Jellicle choice and announces which of them will go up to The Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a whole new Jellicle life. The show features a magnificent musical score composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, including the timeless hit song “Memory”.
