School of Rock alumni get the Golden Buzzer

From the School of Rock alumni and golden buzzer semi-finalists, Chapter 13, to a triumphant performance of ‘Love Changes Everything’ by Chelsea Pensioner and winner, Colin Thackery – the world of Andrew Lloyd Webber truly collided with the UK’s leading competition, Britain’s Got Talent 2019!

Jacob, Noah, Tom and Jake (ages 14 and 15) formed Chapter 13 after playing together in School of Rock the Musical, and have since revealed how the show gave them the confidence to audition for the UK’s biggest talent show. Lead singer Tom explained: “I used to find it hard to sing and play guitar at the same time. I just didn’t understand how people could do it. I think School Of Rock helped us a lot.”

Joseph’s Amazing Technicolor takeover

During the semi-finals, the cast of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat also took the stage to perform live for the first time to the nation. Sheridan Smith, Jason Donovan, Jac Yarrow, and the full West End company sang a medley of the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice classics to commence the re-imagined production of Joseph at The London Palladium on June 27 and it’s 11-week run.

Colin Thackery’s winning performance of Love Changes Everything

Chelsea Pensioner, Colin Thackery, then went on to steal the nation’s hearts with a winning performance of an Andrew Lloyd Webber classic, Love Changes Everything, from Aspects of Love. The 89-year-old was dressed head to toe in his Chelsea Pensioner uniform as he sang the heartwarming lyrics, dedicating his performance to his late wife Joan, who passed away in December 2016.
