Following two sell-out seasons at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s hit musical, Jesus Christ Superstar, returns to London for a limited season.

Directed by Timothy Sheader, the Open Air Theatre production first opened in 2016, returning the following year and playing at the Lyric Opera of Chicago in April 2018. It won the Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival in 2017.

Originally written as a rock opera album, Jesus Christ Superstar made its explosive debut on the Broadway stage in 1971. The show transferred to the West End the following year where it ran for eight years and went on to become one of the most enduring musicals of its time.

Jesus Christ Superstar will run at the Barbican from 4 July to 24 August. Book your tickets here.
