Job Title:Marketing and Communications Executive 
Reports to:Head of Marketing (Theatrical Productions)
Location:Covent Garden, London (Office based)

Main Duties

  • Working closely with the Head of Marketing Strategy dealing with marketing and communication enquiries, requests from partners and providing support on the management of the daily workload.
  • Responsible for the day-to day management of approvals and marketing materials on all live productions under the guidance of the Head of Marketing, whilst supporting on the launch of new productions.  
  • Lead on the review and approvals of all press releases for the likes of show announcements, cast changes etc. and oversee the media plans for all live productions – collaborating with the Group Director of Communications on high profile or high priority productions. 
  • Provide campaign support across productions and franchises which may include copy writing, social media channel administration, content brainstorms and asset creation across theatrical productions and brand campaigns.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management and updates of RUG and ALW websites, ensuring dates, details and copy are updated in a timely manner.
  • Project lead on the content and calendar for Box Five including blog posts and emails, ensuring that these align and support the overall strategy.
  • Anticipate and manage rapidly changing priorities and schedules in a timely and professional manner.
  • The Marketing and Communications Executive will be expected to initiate projects of their own, and will have sole responsibility for a number of tasks.
  • Develop a deep understanding of current marketing and communications projects, as well as global RUG priorities to enable fast processing and communication of information.
  • Support the Head of Marketing on the creation of brand toolkits, guidelines and marketing resources, ensuring these are provided and communicated to appropriate staff members and key partners, overseeing the onboarding of key stakeholders.  
  • Ability to brief agencies, manage the approvals and communications through to the deliverable stage. 
  • Support and collaborate with the Content and Brand Asset Manager on ensuring all production assets are collected, archives and all rights for RUG usage aquired. 

Person Specification:

Essential

  • Able to work on multiple projects at once whilst meeting deadlines. 
  • Must be proactive in their approach and a creative problem solver.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint with the ability to grasp new systems and technology.
  • Able to work alone and self motivate, proactively coming up with new ideas.
  • Support team objectives and work as part of a highly collaborative team.
  • An ability to build rapport quickly and communicate across all levels of management. 
  • Experience managing stakeholders and working closely with creative agencies.

Desirable

  • Minimum 3 years experience working within Theatre or Live Entertainment industries and a passion for this sector.
