The Likes of Us
The Likes of Us, written in 1965, was the first collaboration between Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.
The show tells the story of the life of Dr Thomas Barnado, who rescued homeless children from the streets of Victorian London and provided them with shelter. The subsequent Barnado’s Homes became famous all over the world.
In 2008, with the approval of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, the show was made available to amateur theatre groups at a launch organised between the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) and the Really Useful Group (RUG).
