Supporting Children in Need

Lee Mead, winner of the BBC TV series Any Dream Will Do and currently playing Joseph at the Adelphi Theatre, will be opening the Children in Need show (BBC1 Friday 16th November at 7pm GMT) with a live performance.

Lee will then be rushing back to the West End to take part in a special performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat to benefit the appeal.

This special performance at the Adelphi Theatre will also include the children of Brampton Primary School who won the Any Dream Will Do choir competition and sang in the live final in June.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group is delighted to announce that sales of the single “Any Dream Will Do” by Lee Mead have so far raised in excess of £57k for this year’s BBC Children in Need appeal. The final amount will be revealed live on the night.

The single, which was released by Polydor under licence from RUG, also includes “Close Every Door” performed by Lee and the other two finalists Keith Jack and Lewis Bradley.

For every penny donated to BBC Children in Need, a penny will go towards projects helping disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.
