More birthday celebrations for Andrew in Ireland

Dublin‘s National Concert Hall will this week host a celebration of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s most famous musical works.

On Thursday 18th September, Irish stars including David Shannon, Michael McCarthy and Alex Sharpe of Celtic Woman will take to the stage along with Aoife Mulholland and Jessie Buckley who were discovered through the ground-breaking television casting shows _How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?_ and _I‘d Do Anything_.

Together, Aoife and Jessie will perform the title song from Andrew Lloyd Webber and Ben Elton’s newest collaboration, _The Boys In the Photograph_, which has been developed by Lloyd Webber and Elton from their musical _The Beautiful Game_.

The concert will be conducted by Gareth Hudson and include pieces from _The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, Starlight Express, Sunset Boulevard, Aspects of Love, Tell Me On a Sunday, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Woman in White_ and more.

The event has been organised as a birthday tribute by the RTE Concert Orchestra, which is also marking its 60th anniversary this year.

The concert begins at 8pm at the National Concert Hall, Dublin.
