Lord Rowe-Beddoe presents Andrew with key to the Wales Millennium Centre
Yesterday, Andrew was honoured to be presented with a ‘key’ to the Wales Millennium Centre by Life President of the Centre Lord Rowe-Beddoe.
Andrew was visiting the centre to announce that Sophie Evans will play the role of Dorothy in selected performances of _The Wizard of Oz_ at the London Palladium next year.
Lord Rowe-Beddoe said in his presentation of the key, “From now on the Centre will be also be your home in Wales – because today I am delighted to present to you this symbolic key to our front door. This key is in recognition of the hugely successful opening tour of _The Sound of Music_ last year, featuring Welsh singer Connie Fisher.
“Today we are celebrating the success of another of Wales’ talented emerging young Welsh singers, Sophie Evans. I hope that one day we will be welcoming you back to Wales Millennium Centre this new production of _The Wizard of Oz_ with our very own Dorothy, Sophie Evans.”
