I’d Do Anything Finalists star in the West End

Niamh Perry, one of the finalists in the BBC show I’d Do Anything, has been cast as Sophie in _Mamma Mia_. She will begin playing the role on Monday 15th June 2009.

She joins four of the other Nancys in West End productions. Rachel Tucker stars in _We Will Rock You_, Samantha Barks in _Cabaret_, and Jessie Buckley in _A Little Night Music_ and of course Jodie Prenger plays the role of Nancy in _Oliver!_.

Andrew told the Daily Telegraph, “It is a very proud moment. I enjoy working with young people,” he said. “I can get performances out of them.”

The recent success of the Nancys mirrors that of previous contestants in _How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?_ and _Any Dream Will Do_. Many have gone on to star in West End hit productions including Lee Mead in _Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat_, Leanne Dobinson in _Les Miserables_, Siobahn Dillon in _Grease_, Ben Ellis in _Hairspray_, Aoife Mulholland in _Chicago_ and _The Sound of Music_, Daniel Boys in _Avenue Q_ and Connie Fisher in _The Sound of Music_.
