Happy Birthday to the London Palladium…
Yesterday, Andrew hosted a star-studded birthday party for the world-famous Variety Theatre the London Palladium, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year.
In this exclusive footage he is joined by _Sunday Night at the London Palladium_ host Bruce Forsyth CBE and Danielle Hope, who will next year make her own Palladium stage debut as Dorothy in Andrew’s production of _The Wizard of Oz_, to unveil a commemorative plaque – and cut the cake.
Andrew took the opportunity to tell the assembled guests about his plans for the rebuilding and refurbishment of the London Palladium’s front of house. And, as the party got underway the audience – featuring theatre greats Michael Ball, Elaine Paige, Lesley Garrett, Jonathan Pryce, Des O’Connor and many more – were treated to an impromptu live performance from Neil Sedaka…
And we caught up with a few of the famous faces – including former Josephs Jason Donovan and Philip Schofield and vocal coach Yvie Burnett who passed on their own birthday wishes. Happy Birthday, London Palladium!
Find out more about the refurbishment plans here.
