Andrew to receive Classical BRIT Award

Andrew Lloyd Webber is set to receive an Outstanding Achievement Award at next month’s Classical BRITs.

He will collect the award at a star-studded ceremony at London’s Royal Albert Hall on May 8th where he will be joined by some of the biggest stars in classical music. Performers on the night include Andrea Bocelli, the world’s biggest selling classical star, Nigel Kennedy and Sarah Brightman, who will be making her Classical BRIT debut.

Andrew Lloyd Webber said: “I am absolutely thrilled that my music is being recognised at this years Classical BRIT Awards and delighted to be receiving the award for an Outstanding Achievement In Music”.

The Classical BRIT Awards were established in 2000 to recognise the outstanding achievements of classical musicians and the growth of classical music sales in the UK. The awards have proved their vital importance to the UK music industry with the huge impact the event has on record sales of those artists performing, winning and nominated.
