Andrew questions budget Tax proposals
On Sunday 26th April 2009 Andrew wrote an article for the Mail on Sunday questioning the government’s intention to raise the highest rate of tax. Andrew states his belief that this new top rate of tax could be the “final nail in the coffin of Britain plc.” He points out that Britain will have the highest tax rate on earned income of any developed country in the world and fears for the inevitable exodus of entrepreneurial talent, should the tax rate be raised. He calls for the government to reconsider its plans in order to keep high flying professionals in the UK.
