Andrew lends his support to 1711 Walk

This Sunday 12 June will see the launch of 1711 Walk, a new 17 mile route running from Greenwich to Westminster linking 12 of London’s finest Baroque churches. Devised by Peter Dodge to celebrate the 300th anniversary of Queen Anne’s Act for Building Fifty New Churches, the walk aims to raise awareness of the rich architectural heritage of London’s Baroque churches. Andrew says: “The 1711 Walk project is a wonderful way of both bringing to life a bit of history and also providing the opportunity to see some of the wonderful churches built at that time.”

To join the inaugural walk, please arrive at St Alfege in Greenwich (SE10 9BJ) this Sunday 12 June at 9.00am. For more information about 1711 Walk go to: www.1711walk.org.
