Andrew in Moscow

Andrew today arrived in Moscow to support Jade Ewen in her quest to become the UK’s first Eurovision champion since Katrina and the Waves in 1997. Andrew is delighted to announce that he will accompany Jade on the piano when she performs “It’s My Time” on the Eurovision stage on Saturday night.

During a frenetic round of media interviews and rehearsals, Andrew said, “Singing in such a big competition, with millions watching around the world is a huge challenge for Jade, but a fantastic opportunity. She is a very talented young performer and it has been great working with her. She has been working incredibly hard since the public chose her as the UK’s entry. I have my fingers crossed that Jade follows Abba and Riverdance to international mega stardom.”

The 2009 Eurovision Song Contest Final begins at 11 pm (local time) in Moscow on Saturday 16 May and will be transmitted live all over Europe. Those of you based in the UK can watch the show on BBC One at 8pm.
