In conversation with… Andrew Lloyd Webber

On Thursday 23 July, historian, curator and Trustee of Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village, MaryAnne Stevens will interview Lord Lloyd Webber on his love of Victorian art, from the historic surroundings of the Artists’ Village.

In the intimate, 19th century gallery surroundings, Lord Lloyd Webber will discuss his passion for the Victorian era, and how work created by G F Watts and his contemporaries inspire him.  Lord Lloyd Webber started collecting art in the 1960s and has built one of the most distinguished collections of Pre-Raphaelite and Victorian art in private hands embracing paintings, works on paper, tapestries, carpets, furniture, books and ceramics.  The collection was exhibited to great acclaim at the Royal Academy of Arts in 2003.
